Mentoring entered into my life several years ago, without me knowing it.
It was back in 2016 when a young manager at my company, a friend, asked me if I was willing to support her new team member on her journey, specifically to support developing her self-confidence and communication skills. Only a few weeks later, I realised that the journey I started with that young professional was a mentoring journey.
From that moment, mentoring has a very special place close to my heart.
During the years, I had more than 100 mentees. Some have been with me for one or two sessions only, others have long term nurturing relationships that most probably will continue for the rest of our lives.
Over the years also Coaching entered into my life. You can find some coaching elements in my long term relationships.
In my approach to support you, you will find a bit of both, depending on the situation, your objectives, and your needs.

During all these years as a pro bono mentor, I have been particularly impressed with two platforms: The Mentoring Club and My Job Glasses. I am a big supporter and I definitely recommend them.
When it comes to helping young brilliant minds, I have the honour and the pleasure to be a mentor in the mentorship programs developed by the university Politecnico di Milano.
I am mentoring students in their final year of Master of Science in Management Engineering and, as part of the Mentoring on the Job Program, I am mentoring young brilliant future engineers in their path to obtain their Bachelor of Science in Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering.
It is my small personal contribution to inspire the next generation of Engineers.
A lot of my coaching and mentoring activity is around Project Management, Program Management, Portfolio Management, and PMO. I have the pleasure of being a mentor in programs organised by PMI, where I am helping the next generation of Project Managers and PMO Specialists in their journey, by providing guidance, support, bits of wisdom and advices about doing the right things and doing the things right.
I have built, developed and run a few mentoring programs. The one closest to my heart is The PMO Leader Mentoring Program. The first mentoring program specifically designed for PMO Leaders and targeted to support our global PMO Community by bringing together those we want to learn, develop, and grow, and those who have the experience and who want to help others and give back to our community.
Contributing to the growth and development of my mentees and observing them progressing on their journey is one of the most fulfilling experiences ever.
